A gathering of animists and polytheists around Western Cuyahoga and Lorain Counties
Spirit Valley Protogrove is a group based in the west side of Cleveland, Ohio. We host public, open, and inclusive worship services and events around western Cuyahoga County and occasionally in Lorain County, for the enjoyment and fellowship of all who attend.
Honoring the Three Kindreds
We approach our events and services from a polytheistic and animistic standpoint. This means that we acknowledge many Gods and Goddesses at our events, as well as our Ancestors. We also acknowledge the spirits of all the animals, plants, and other spirits of nature that share our world with us.
Our Philosophy
Our services generally honor one of a host of pantheons from the Celtic, Norse, Greek, Roman, Baltic, Slavic, and Vedic Iron Age cultures, but we also believe that when one attends our rites, they are a representative of all the Gods, Ancestors, and Spirit Allies that they work with. We call this the “summit of the Gods” approach. When you join us, your allies among the spirits are also welcome!
